Director

LIGHTS, CAMERA, PUPPETS!

I’ve had the pleasure of pouring my on-camera puppetry knowledge into the realm behind the camera. From conceptualizing and storyboarding to blocking and choreography, directing puppets is an all-encompassing but delightful task.

THE PROOF IS IN THE PEANUT BUTTER

Here’s a fun little ditty that I directed for Super Simple Songs. (As of this writing, it has been enjoyed by 60 million viewers on YouTube.) I created a storyboard for the song, coordinated the puppet cast, and made plans for all of the specialty props and rigging. Shot over the course of two days, the end result is quite a slice! [Insert rim-shot here.]

NOM NOM NOM

Continuing on the foodie train, here’s another nommy puppet music video that I directed. As of this writing, it has been enjoyed by over 98 million kiddos.

STICKY FINGERS

The fun – and challenge – of this next piece was shooting it on a green screen with a single puppeteer. Each puppet character was filmed one at a time, and then all five characters were put together in post production. Matching puppet eyelines, coordinating the choreography, and maintaining overall consistency were just a few of the key components in bringing this spooktacular piece to life.
